2026 Call for Nominations

Call For Nominations

The College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPNL) is calling for nominations for board members in Zone 5, Zone 6, and Zone 7.

Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, July 24, 2026.

CPNL’s mission is to protect the public by regulating the profession of pharmacy to ensure quality and ethical care.

As a board member, you would play a critical role in achieving CPNL’s vision of quality pharmacy practice and patient-centred healthcare through leadership and collaboration. CPNL needs your pharmacy practice expertise on its board of directors.

CPNL is currently seeking nominations for:

Zone 5 (Hospital Pharmacist)
Zone 6 (Pharmacy Technician)
Zone 7 (At-Large Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician)

Pharmacy professionals are entitled to be nominated and vote in the zone in which they practice the majority of their time. Please note that the nominator and the seconder do NOT have to be members of the zone for which they are nominating. In addition, pharmacy professionals may self-nominate with a supporting seconder.

For more information on responsibilities and priorities of CPNL and the CPNL Board of Directors, please review the Becoming a Board Member presentation and the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan.

The CPNL Bylaws, which govern the election process, and the timeline for this year’s election are linked under the Additional Resources section below.

The deadline to submit completed nomination forms, along with the nominee’s headshot and short bio, is Friday, July 24, 2026. Submissions can be sent by email to inforx@cpnl.ca or by mail to CPNL’s main office.

The newly elected members will commence their three-year term following the announcement of the results during the Annual General Meeting on September 22, 2026.
