2026 Schedule of Fees
In 2023, the board approved a rate increase of CPI + 5% each year for 3 years, starting in 2024. The CPI that will be applied for 2026 is 2.4%, which is the average CPI for 2024. The increase of 7.4% has been applied to all fees.

Annual Student Registration Renewal
Pharmacy Students and Pharmacy Technician Students can now renew their registration through the online CPNL Registrant Portal for the 2025-2026 school year.
To renew your registration, log in to the CPNL Registrant Portal, click Registration Renewal in the side menu, and click the Start Renewal button next to your student registration.
If you have forgotten your password, please click the Reset Password link below the login form. A link to reset the password will be emailed to you.

The online renewal process can be saved after each step, and you can return for completion later. For security purposes, the system will automatically log out of your account after 30 minutes of inactivity, so please be sure to click the Save or Save & Continue buttons to ensure your progress is successfully saved.
Renewal is not complete until full payment is received. As per the 2025 Schedule of Fees, the renewal fee for students is $75.69 (tax included).
Once you have completed the online renewal process, you can print your receipt by clicking the Invoices & Receipts link in the side menu and clicking the Review button next to the appropriate invoice.
The deadline to renew is October 15, 2025.

All students are required to have professional liability insurance and ensure current policy information is on file as per CPNL’s Professional Liability Insurance Requirements for Registration. Please have your current insurance policy certificate available for upload.

The College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPNL), with the assistance of Windpharm Consulting, is developing a new Code of Ethics for the Newfoundland and Labrador pharmacy profession.

We are inviting all CPNL registered pharmacy professionals to provide their perspective on how the Code of Ethics can effectively support their ethical practice by completing a short online survey.

We are looking for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to participate in a focus group to explore how a new Code of Ethics might best consider the needs and preferences of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in the province.

Annual Registration and Pharmacy License Renewal
CPNL’s annual renewal period for registration and pharmacy licensing will open on Monday, October 27, 2025. The deadline to renew will be November 30, 2025. For information on applicable fees, please refer to the 2026 Schedule of Fees.
In preparation for renewing your registration, please ensure you pay all outstanding invoices, document your required 15 hours of learning in the online registration portal, and ensure all required certification (i.e. PLI Insurance policy, First Aid & CPR certifcation) are up-to-date in your online registration profile.

napra rECRUITMENT nOTICE: nATIONAL dRUG sCHEDULING aDVISORY cOMMITTEE
The National Drug Scheduling Advisory Committee (NDSAC) is a committee of the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) which serves to advise NAPRA on matters relating to the National Drug Schedules (NDS) program. The primary function of the eight-member committee is to review and analyze submissions regarding scheduling placements for non-prescription drugs and to make recommendations for scheduling.
NAPRA will have one (1) vacancy on the NDSAC arising in 2026 and is inviting applications for the following position:

CPNL staff are here to assist and support you. If you wish to meet with a staff member in person, please call to schedule an appointment before visiting our office. Having details regarding your inquiry will help us appropriately prioritize and prepare to answer your question if we need to collect additional information before calling you back or meeting with you. If you are unable to reach the staff person by phone, please leave a detailed message. Voicemails are regularly checked, and staff members get email alerts when a message is left on their phone line.
Keeping Contact Information Up to Date
Registered pharmacy professionals are responsible for ensuring that the contact information on their registrant profile, including email address and practice site, is accurate at all times. CPNL primarily uses email communication to send newsletters, renewal reminders, practice site assessment information, professional development audit information, calls for interest for committees, and other alerts. If the email address on file is incorrect, important information may be missed and/or disclosed to the wrong person. If your contact information changes, please update your information on file by logging into the Registrant Portal.
